Print design with Helping Hands Street Mission  

 

Typically in the fall, Helping Hands Street Mission (Hamilton, ON) puts on a fundraising Gala dinner to raise funds, share about progress and connect with partners and donors. But this style, a dress-up tickets occasion doesn't tend to be very inclusive to the very people that Helping Hands supports.

In order to create something new and engaging and keep the event accessible to all, Helping Hands created the We're All Neighbours Here exhibit and campaign. This event features work from local Hamilton artists in many different disciplines and creates a experience to help your empathize with those struggling with homelessness.

My task was to create 5 different posters to promote this event - the same overall style but each with a different image. The goal was to use these beautiful photographs shot by www.shirelkphotos.com, and create a design that is informative but also visually captivating as this is an artist exhibit after all.
